We are a studio dedicated to ethical and intercultural design practice. Our work is the practical development of our own methodology rooted in ethical design and ethnographic research. We mix our hands on experience, design excellence and business knowledge since 2019 as Toqapu Studio, based in Zurich and collaborating with experts from Peru, Indonesia and Switzerland.
Our mission is simple: to transform traditionally created textiles from commodities into cultural statement pieces.
We partner directly with master artisans and indigenous artists to establish frameworks that protect the creator's voice, accredit their intellectual property, guarantee fair financial returns. Each project below demonstrates how we bridge traditional craft with contemporary ethics to secure unique knowledge for the future.
